Summary
Supply Chain Planner professional with experience in production planning, inventory management, demand and supply planning, SAP system transactions, and cross-functional collaboration within manufacturing environments. Proven ability to develop production schedules, monitor KPIs, manage inventory movements, and support customer service activities while maintaining operational excellence. This role supports key areas within Exeter’s supply chain department/ production, with a primary focus on planning/scheduling and customer service.
Planning/Scheduling:
- Develop, and manage production floor schedules based on customer forecasts, inventory levels, yield performance, and overall capacity across various production departments
- Collaborate closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure alignment and smooth execution
- Monitor production attainment, inventory performance, and key planning KPIs to support operational decision-making
Customer Service:
- Serves as a key point of contact for internal and external customers, supporting effective communication and issue resolution
- Respond to inquiries and coordinate requests to support seamless interplant communication
- Demonstrates ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Collaborating with supply chain partners/customers
Additional Responsibilities:
- Supports warehouse and supply chain operations through process improvements and backup coverage where needed
- Work closely with Supply Chain Manager and assist in overseeing and managing various areas
- Managing various SAP tasks (i.e., sales order entry, inventory movements, materials management, and goods issues)
What we look for
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED. College education preferred.
- Knowledge in SAP system preferred
- Minimum of 2 - 5 years in manufacturing/planning or in a similar role
- Experience with production planning, forecasting, and capacity management
- Production attainment and KPI monitoring
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Problem-solving and root cause analysis
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Comfortable working under pressure
- Team-oriented and effective in a fast-paced environment
- Self-directed and capable of working independently
