IT Staff Engineer (SAP APO)

Your new responsibilities

  • Perform support to existing SAP APO- DP, PPDS and SNP solutions.
  • Gather business requirements and lead business workshops to perform as-is process analysis, to-be process design and solution architecture.
  • Write business blueprints, functional and technical specifications.
  • Conduct and support unit, integration and user acceptance tests as well as post implementation support.
  • Elaborate technical concepts and implementation planning.
  • A team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills. Must have a service-oriented attitude with excellent problem solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently, self-motivated, and highly focused.


What we look for


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience in SAP APO DP and SNP.
  • Good knowledge of/experience with Planning processes from Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, MRP, DRP, and Supply Chain Master Data. 
  • Conduct and support unit, integration, and user acceptance tests as well as post implementation support.
  • Interfacing experience with R/3.
  • Experience with handling CIF issues needed.
  • Integration with other systems via the CIF, SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI), or SAP Process Integration (SAP PI): SAP APO uses the Core Interface (CIF) for real-time batch mode integration with SAP ERP or ECC.
  • Implementation experience of basic features of PPDS needed.
  • Master Data Validation with APO & R/3. (Product, Location, Resources, Production process model & Product Data Structure).
  • Detailed Scheduling Planning board & functions.
  • Detailed Scheduling Heuristics –Block Planning, Tank Scheduling.
  • Understanding of DS tools in PPDS work & help businesses in day to day functioning is expected.
  • Statistical forecast profiles, Optimizer profile adjustment, or variants or parameters of background jobs programs as identified.
  • Basic Knowledge on Global Available to Promise. (GATP).
  • Cross-industry and industry-specific solutions (MTS & MTO).
  • To correct APO availability check, so that deliveries (for sales as well as Stock transfer order) can be created.  Experience in ticket handling tool like Service Now and Solution manager.
  • Custom-developed objects in system, Capability to understand and work further. Advise what you have already worked.
