- Key contact and escalation path for material supplier crisis (work with LSQM)
- Commodity SQM is key decision maker within SQM representing quality in all activities within the Sourcing Team / Committee according to Supplier Management
- Define Material Supplier Strategy and Material release strategy on new R&D projects with Sourcing Committee
- To enforce and be responsible on all SQM Business Processes, audit Supplier; QAA with Supplier; Supplier Complaint Management; PS Support; Qual of Material / External Process; Supplier PCN Management
- Consolidate global QM data / input for related commodity supplier to deliver and present Q input in commodity sourcing strategy / CBG
- To perform audit need analysis and determine / decide annual audit planning for suppliers of the specific commodity, negotiate the content of QAA and ensure QAA is duly signed by the suppliers
- Accountable to ensure accurate and updated Sphinx data of the respective commodity, accountable for ZTTD program with suppliers to drive supplier for continual improvement & henceforth reducing activities at IQA operation
- To trigger genba at supplier whenever applicable, to monitor own KPI effectiveness & provide regular reporting to the management on efficiency and effectiveness tracking, with ability to take on LSQM functions when needed
What we look for
- Bachelor or master’s degree in science discipline eg. Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science or Engineering / Electronics & Electrical Engineering / Chemical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of working experience in manufacturing line; minimum 3 years of experience in Quality Management, preferably SQM roles
- Ability to lead and guide inspectors / technicians / Assistant & Associate Engineers; act as a change initiator; ability to influence CBG / Sourcing decision. Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with external suppliers; Influence and convince suppliers to change and improve
- Possesses technical knowledge in materials; Interpretation of technical drawing; Audit skill & basic quality tools such as FMEA, MSA, SPC; Strong in data analytics
- Good computer skills such as Microsoft office; knowledge in Minitab & SAP is added advantage.
- Ability to communicate with various parties including overseas suppliers; sensitive to cultural differences; ability to handle conflicts and resolve differences in opinions with crucial conversational skills. With high flexibility; able to travel; effective communication; compliance to company policy; highly committed & accountable with no supervision required; analytical, proactive and self motivated
- Good verbal & written English; Chinese language will be required for communication with Suppliers from China & Taiwan
