- Own and manage the lifecycle of assigned Global Planning Systems, Manufacturing Systems (MES) and other Operational Technology solutions under Global PFP portfolio.
- Define system roadmap and drive continuous improvements to ensure business requirements, operational excellence and technology sustainability objectives are achieved.
- Lead medium to large scale projects and initiatives involving Planning Systems, MES Systems, system migration, upgrades, digitalization and process optimization efforts across Global Sites.
- Facilitate requirement workshops and engage business stakeholders to analyze, define and align functional requirements between Global Sites.
- Author business requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications and solution design documents for new and existing systems and solutions.
- Evaluate business requirements and recommend system architecture, application enhancements and technology solutions to improve operational efficiency and business performance.
- Coordinate and manage external vendors, solution providers and internal technical teams throughout project implementation and support phases.
- Analyze data and system performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements, automation and operational optimization.
- Establish and maintain system governance, standards, procedures and best practices to ensure compliance with software quality, cybersecurity and audit requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for system architecture, application design and integration initiatives.
- Drive root cause analysis and resolution of complex system issues impacting manufacturing and planning operations.
- Lead solution testing activities including test planning, test case design, user acceptance testing and deployment readiness reviews.
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support for applications and systems under the team's purview and ensure timely incident and problem resolution.
- Collaborate with Global Manufacturing Sites to drive process harmonization and system standardization initiatives.
- Create training materials, conduct knowledge transfer sessions and provide guidance to engineers and business users regarding system functionalities and best practices.
- Participate and lead ams OSRAM Excellence activities such as Productivity Improvement, Lean, KAIZEN, Industry 4.0 and Digital Transformation initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders by providing technology recommendations and supporting strategic decision making related to manufacturing and planning systems.
What we look for
- Master Degree / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent.
- 5 to 8 year(s) of working experience in semiconductor manufacturing environment is desirable but enthusiastic
- Proficiency in PL/SQL and Oracle database is mandatory.
- Proficient in web technologies such as VB.NET, C#.NET, web services, SOAP and XML is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in any one or more industrial (Front-End or/and Back-End) MES software solutions such as Workstream, PROMIS, FactoryWorks, OPSCenter, SiView, FAB300 is highly desirable.
- A highly inquisitive nature with an attention to detail, coupled with creativeness & innovativeness are the traits that would help the candidate to excel in this position while being self-driven and a strong team player would bring them places.
- Good command of the English language and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of people is desirable.
- Preferably with Critical Manufacturing background.
