• To attend to internal and external customer complaint regarding any material related issues timely and proactively with the end in mind of stopping the bleed.
• To monitor incoming material performance from the point of goods receipt to production till customer / field application and demand all deviations with effective 8D.
• To master the knowledge of supplier 8D guidelines and constantly apply it to drive and educate suppliers on the problem solving to meet ams OSRAM expectations & thereafter track effectiveness of actions taken to ensure no repeated issues.
• To qualify changes at supplier. To dive deeper with suppliers for proper and adequate risk assessment to ensure risks are known and calculate prior to proceed to quality changes at supplier with SPCN & PPCM.
• To ensure IQC operation is efficient and effective; this includes maintenance of the IQC documentation such as control plan, process specs, failure catalogue and work instructions are relevant and up to date; besides that, exchange information regularly with IQC personnel to ensure effective IQC detection on deviated materials.
• To upkeep and ensure all documentation / data of the incoming materials inspection report and production feedback are up to date readily auditable and to prepare for external audit.
• To monitor commodity performance and supplier data & liase with supplier on potential quality deviation. 
• Work proactively and independently to drive supplier on improvement activities and material deviation to fulfill the quality expectation. Trigger escalation when it is needed till closure of the topic. 

What we look for

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Science discipline, Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science or Engineering / Electronics & Electrical Engineering / Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in manufacturing line; experience in QM is added advantage.
• Ability to lead and guide inspectors / technicians / Assistant & Associate Engineers.
• Possesses good interpersonal and communication skills to interact with external suppliers.
• Technical knowledge in materials; Interpretation of technical drawing; Audit skill & basic quality tools such as FMEA, MSA, SPC.
• Good computer skills such as Microsoft office; knowledge in Minitab & SAP, PowerBI is added advantage.
• Ability to communicate with various parties including overseas suppliers; sensitive to cultural differences.
• High flexibility; able to travel; effective communication; compliance to company policy; highly committed & accountable with minimum or no supervision required; analytical, proactive and self motivated.
• Good verbal & written English and Mandarin.
