- Collaborating with Equipment Engineering in driving improvement & sustainment activities for QFN, Osire, STS & RTR platform test line, including troubleshooting in-line quality and test failures (LED optical, electrical and vision inspection).
- Identify, plan, and execute test yield improvement and cost-reduction projects—focusing on test process optimization and lean methodologies.
- Create, maintain, and deliver Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and operator training materials.
Ensure all process documentation—Process OCAPs, PFMEAs, failure catalogues, and process specifications—is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible. - Support Quality Department on customer returns by leading 8D investigations (root-cause analysis, containment, corrective/preventive actions).
- Prepare for and participate in customer, IATF, and any internal audits; implement and sustain audit findings.
- Work closely with R&D, Product Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Production, and Supply-Chain teams to introduce new test capabilities and resolve process challenges at shop floor.
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent qualification).
- Min. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in LED and/or IC test process, including vision-inspection process, within a semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Proven track record in yield improvement, cost-reduction projects, and process optimization.
- Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and structured problem-solving & continuous improvement methodologies (8D, PDCA, Lean Six Sigma etc).
- Knowledge in LED manufacturing process, test equipment and test measurement.
Possesses technical knowledge in LED and/or IC test process and automatic vision inspection process. - Well verse in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
