Job Description
HR Generalist (d/m/f)
Berlin, Germany

Sense the power of light

ams OSRAM is a global leader in innovative light and sensor solutions. “Sense the power of light” – our success is based on our deep understanding of the potential of light. By adding intelligence to light, we enable our customers to drive transformative applications. Our around 20,000 employees worldwide focus on innovation alongside the societal megatrends of digitalization, smart living, energy efficiency, and sustainability. Whatever your role is, you are a part of a talented team that enjoys exploring and designing new technologies.

Your new responsibilities

Join our Business Line ENI – a dynamic division delivering innovative lighting solutions for entertainment and industrial applications worldwide. Our products are used in cinemas, industrial facilities, and other demanding environments where quality and precision are essential.
ENI is currently undergoing an exciting transformation: as part of a carve-out, the Business Line is being established as an independent entity within the corporate structure of USHIO Inc. As an HR Generalist, this presents a unique opportunity for you to actively shape this transition – from operational separation to building new HR structures within a standalone organization.

In your role as HR Generalist (d/m/f), you will play a key part in both operational and strategic HR activities.

  • Provide support and guidance to employees and managers on all HR-related topics
  • Assist in the recruitment process: job postings, applicant management, interviews
  • Contribute to employee development and training initiatives
  • Prepare employment contracts, certificates, and other HR-related documents
  • Maintain and manage employee master data and support payroll preparation
  • Participate in international HR projects and continuously improve HR processes
  • Support the Compensation & Benefits area, including:
    • Contributing to the development and implementation of compensation strategies and policies, conducting salary benchmarks and market analyses
    • Managing benefit programs (e.g., company pension schemes, health offerings, mobility solutions)
    • Communicating and advising on compensation and additional benefits for employees and managers

Who we are looking for

  • Completed commercial training with further qualification in HR or a relevant university degree (e.g., Business Administration with a focus on HR)
  • Professional experience in HR, ideally in a generalist role
  • Knowledge of labor law and HR processes
  • Experience in Compensation & Benefits is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Office; experience with HR software is desirable
  • Strong communication skills, team spirit, and a structured working style
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
