- Process & Work-Product Compliance – Plan and execute independent reviews/audits of ISO 26262 work products; judge conformity against standard and engineering state-of-the-art; document compliance reports
- Independence & Assessment Level – Perform internal product assessments at Independent Level I3; support coordination of external assessments (e.g., TÜV/SGS/EXIDA) for standard products.
- Gate Readiness & Handover – Review CSR/PR gate deliverables; sign-off compliance reports; ensure effective handover from FuSa QA (development) to PSCR (production).
- Production Life-Cycle Safety – Monitor production changes and field returns for safety relevance; ensure timely functional safety manager (FSM) notifications and correct follow-through (ENG/RMA flows).
- Assessment Planning – Build and maintain assessment plans, checklists, and evidence trails for audits, customer assessments, and official certifications. (SGS assessment flow references in FuSa overview.)
- Cross-Site Collaboration – Interface with R&D, BE/FE manufacturing, OSAT/EFMS, and Quality teams to assure end-to-end safety integrity. ( Formal Designation & Publication – Serve as the designated PSCR for Business unit ; ensure publication of certificates/contacts on the Quality SharePoint and to customers for safety-relevant products.
- Risk Identification & Analysis – Identify product safety risks; perform/evaluate risk analyses; define and monitor safety-relevant features; drive error prevention measures.
- Regulatory & IATF Compliance – Maintain conformity with national/international legal requirements and IATF 16949 (e.g., §4.4.1.2 Product Safety; §8.3.3.1 Product Design Input).
- Lifecycle Product Integrity – Implement VDA Product Integrity duties across development, manufacturing, usage/market monitoring, and field response; embed risk-based processes in the QMS.
- FMEA & Problem Solving – Participate in FMEA, complaints analysis, and CAPA effectiveness checks for safety-relevant products; ensure timely customer/supplier communication.
- Knowledge Management & Lessons Learned – Lead safety knowledge transfer and lessons learned; maintain PSCR knowledge base and coordinate training/certification status
- External Interface & Mediation – Act as contact for customers, authorities, and internal departments; mediate requirements in potential product liability cases.
- QMS Support: overarching support across the entity on relevant QMS activities eg. Audits, standardization, etc.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electrical/Electronics, Semiconductor/Materials, Mechanical, or related engineering discipline.
- Semiconductor or Electronics Manufacturing experiences
- PSCR certification (VDA Product Integrity training) with documented completion; or compliance with VDA guidance.
- ISO 26262 training/qualification; experience executing FuSa QA assessments and compliance reporting.
