Your new responsibilities

  • Development of Automotive LED lightsources from planning & designing to series production as well as simulation and design for optical concepts and components in product development
  • Elaborate optical product / component design and specification based on optical simulations / tolerance calculations and acquired technical expertise to make sure the product design can be manufactured in series production
  • Selection of suitable optical materials / components / LEDs based on specifications, technical feasibility, environmental conditions and product requirements including optimization concerning costs, quality and performance
  • Perform, analyze and document product or component tests by developing testing procedures including equipment definition and performing failure analysis with recommendations for problem solving
  • Gather customer requirements and market demands from application side generating input for product design in close cooperation with business development
  • Assist product go-to-market, providing technical support, material and product knowledge for marketing including technical documentation and application notes to ensure customers fully understand and utilize the products and Support design-in activities, providing technical support, prove of concept by simulations and demonstrations to win project contracts


Who we are looking for


  • Education background & Industry exposure: bachelor or above of optics, physics or relevant field
  • Years of experience: minimum 3 years experience on automotive headlamp or lightsource product as optical engineer or optics related Field Application Engineer / Product Manager
  • Essential knowledge and professional skills: Good knowledge in light design with tools like LucidShape, Lighttools, knowledge in AM lighting regulations, automotive lighting applications, optical measurements (luminance camera, goniometer, etc.), familiar with automotive headlamp or lightsource product development and testing
  • Certification requirement (if needed):
  • Other must to have requirements (leadership experience, IT, language…): English, coaching or demonstrating skills, marketing support experience, working independently, result-oriented, team inspirit
  • Other nice to have requirements (leadership experience, IT, language…) project management experience, electronics knowledge
