Your new responsibilities

Position Summary：

Plans and executes all sourcing related tasks and supports the accountable Project Manager in all procurement related matters, for projects assigned.

 

Key Responsibility：

  • Manage all procurement, sourcing and supplier-focused activities in accordance with procurement strategies
  • Represent the procurement organization to the project leader and the members of the Product Introduction Team (PIT) and actively contribute to project execution.
  • Perform BOM costing and target cost analysis on product level and also on pre-material level.
  • Prepare RfI and RfQs and corresponding benchmarks for negotiations and supplier decisions in close cooperation with the R&D and PIT team.
  • Initiate, communicate and execute supplier management activities for the qualification, selection and contracting of suppliers in close cooperation with respective cross functions in a timely manner.
  • Initiate and support market and technology scouting or benchmarking activities to find new innovative  solutions.
  • Report the sourcing status and target achievements and procurement contribution to the Product Introduction Team (PIT) and to the Corporate and Commodity Business Management.

Who we are looking for


  • 3+ years experience in lighting and electronics industry
  • Supplier management - scouting, qualification, planning, integration, value chain enhancement
  • Material fields: electronics, mechanics, optics, thermal / chemical
  • Bachelor's Degree or advanced degree + some related experience. Solid knowledge in a technical field
  • Experience in more than one function: Procurement, Supply Chain, Development, Product Business/ Marketing, Quality, Manufacturing, Project Management, Cost Management
  • Fluent in English communication, written & spoken
  • International exposure.
