Your new responsibilities

An HR People advisor provides guidance and support to managers and employees on HR matters such as employee relations, performance, and policies. They act as a point of contact for HR queries, help manage complex employee cases like disciplinary or grievance issues, and ensure compliance with employment law. The role involves a mix of advisory, administrative, and strategic tasks to improve HR practices and support the organisation's objectives.  

Main Purpose of Role:

  • Supporting the delivery of people services across the business 
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on range of people related matters 
  • Act as the first point of contact for the People Team for employee relations issues e.g. grievances, disciplinaries  
  • Create and update the HR people policies in line with any updated legislation 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Employee relations:  Offer advice and guidance to managers on handling issues like performance management, absence, grievances, and disciplinary actions.  
  • Policy and compliance:  Help develop and update HR policies and procedures, ensuring they comply with current employment legislation and best practices.  
  • Recruitment and onboarding:  Supporting the recruitment process and involvement in second stage interviews, assist with job descriptions, and support the onboarding process for new hires.  
  • Training and development:  Identify training needs and help coordinate learning and development programs to enhance employee skills.  
  • Data and reporting:  Use HR data to support decision-making and prepare reports on key metrics.  
  • Change management:  Support managers during organisational changes, including consultations on issues like redundancies or TUPE transfers 

 

 


Who we are looking for


  • 3 years or more in a HR advisory role
  • Behaviour demonstrates the RING Values of Customer Focus, One Team, Respect and Passion
  • Excellent communication and people handling skills (internal and external)
  • Must be literate and numerate
  • Self motivator, able to operate upon own initiative
  • PC literate (with high level of understating with MS Office Word / Excel / Power Point)
  • Enthusiastic character with an exceptional work ethic  
  • High level of organisational skill in regard to planning, preparation, execution and follow up
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced ever-changing, high-pressure environment whilst having the capability to maintain the highest level of accuracy
