Your new responsibilities

  • Responsible for operational Production Planning and Material Management for the entire ams Osram Herbrechtingen Production Plant, reporting to Head of Production Planning Europe (part of the Global Supply Chain function)
  • Drive and own cross-functional alignment on Production volumes for the manufacturing Plant and ensure production material availability
  • Develop and execute strategy for optimal Production Plan using advanced production planning tool and production material management, including inventory management
  • Day-to-day operational management of issues on Shopfloor, production deliveries, and material deliveries
  • Drive continuous process and tools improvement in Production Planning (advanced production planning tool) and Material Management (develop and implement dashboards and automation)
  • Lead a team of 4 production planners and material managers
  • Work closely with other functions: Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Controlling

Who we are looking for


  • University degree in a technical or business field or a comparable qualification with a focus on materials management
  • Several years of professional experience in the production planning and material management and/or supply chain planning function, preferably using advanced production planning tools
  • Experience in the functional and disciplinary management of teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP, experience in advanced production planning tools
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management and operative team management skills
  • Fluent English and German required
