ams OSRAM is a global leader in innovative light and sensor solutions. “Sense the power of light” – our success is based on our deep understanding of the potential of light. By adding intelligence to light, we enable our customers to drive transformative applications. Our around 20,000 employees worldwide focus on innovation alongside the societal megatrends of digitalization, smart living, energy efficiency, and sustainability. Whatever your role is, you are a part of a talented team that enjoys exploring and designing new technologies.

Your new responsibilities

As an Industrial Engineer (d/m/f), you will play a key role in shaping the future of our manufacturing processes. Leveraging your technical expertise, you will analyze complex, non-standardized challenges and develop innovative, sustainable solutions.
Your impact goes far beyond your immediate area of responsibility – with strategic foresight and precision, you will influence cross-functional decision-making. Working in interdisciplinary teams, you will take ownership, foster new ways of thinking, and actively drive organizational transformation.
If you combine deep technical knowledge with strategic vision and a passion for creating lasting impact, we look forward to your application.

  • Analyze and optimize complex production processes to improve capacity, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness over the long term
  • Develop and refine methods and tools for strategic capacity planning (including SnOP processes, OEE analyses, and test wafer strategies)
  • Design and lead cross-functional projects with a strong focus on technical excellence and sustainable implementation
  • Build and establish relevant KPI systems and reporting structures for performance monitoring and decision-making
  • Plan layouts and production space, considering material flow efficiency, logistics requirements, and future production needs
  • Support other departments through technical consulting, knowledge sharing, and promotion of innovative approaches
  • Proactively identify the need for change and help shape transformation processes from an early stage

Who we are looking for

  • University degree (TU/FH) in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or comparable technical education (e.g., HTL with relevant qualifications)
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in an industrial environment – ideally in the semiconductor industry or another highly automated, complex manufacturing setting
  • Proven track record in solving complex technical challenges, ideally in manufacturing optimization, layout planning, capacity modeling, or digitalization
  • Strong skills in data analysis and operational excellence, e.g., with PowerBI, SQL, APF (Applied Materials), or comparable systems
  • Experience in cross-functional projects and technical leadership, with strong communication skills and assertiveness
  • Solid knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, OEE, or similar methodologies
  • High level of initiative, structured and solution-oriented mindset, attention to quality, and a passion for shaping new solutions
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken

We offer competitive salaries and additional benefits based on your performance, experience and qualification.

The employment is in accordance with the collective salary and wage agreement for employees of the electrical and electronics industry, employment group F (https://www.feei.at/aktuelles/mindestloehne-und-gehaelter-eei/).
