Your new responsibilities

  • Conducting contract and price negotiations for medium to high volumes to achieve cost savings and thereby making a significant contribution to the company's profitability
  • Continuously monitoring procurement markets and implementing alternative sources of supply to integrate new suppliers and product innovations into the purchasing portfolio
  • Maintaining contact with internal and external stakeholders to identify developments (market, demand, etc.), exert appropriate influence, and optimize internal processes
  • Creating price forecasts, internal key performance indicators, and reports to provide essential data for corporate planning (costing data), management, and reporting
  • Continuous supplier management through supplier analysis and evaluation to ensure an optimal supply chain and to consistently secure the best suppliers
  • Implementing agreed, site-wide procurement strategies and initiatives, as well as tendering for new requirements in the procurement market
  • Regular alignments with the Category Manager regarding procurement markets and strategies to ensure long-term and cost-effective supply


Who we are looking for


  • Commercial or commercial/technical education, preferably business administration, engineering or industrial engineering, comparable studies
  • 3+ years of experience in purchasing or a comparable function in the sales sector and professional experience in a global corporation
  • Profound market knowledge; broad knowledge base in business topics and interest in new technologies
  • Method- and process-oriented work behavior as well as solution-oriented thinking and acting
  • Very good knowledge of IT tools (e.g. SAP – preferably SAP Ariba; MS Office suite)
  • Fluent in spoken and written English (business fluent)
  • A high degree of negotiation skills, teamwork, and commitment

We offer a higher compensation depending on your expertise and skills.
