- Responsibility for assigned external wafer manufacturing sites (foundries)
- Monitoring the overall performance of assigned foundries with regards to production and technology development (analyzing production processes, identifying areas for improvement & setting up / reviewing relevant process KPIs)
- Supporting major ramp ups in close cooperation with NPI teams
- Co-working with various engineering departments and product- / process reliability team regarding qualification of new devices, technologies and changes in existing process flows
- Leading/ supporting task forces with focus to technical problem solving
- Performing process and quality audits following IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 standards
- Supporting customer audits / visits at supplier sites
- Managing disposition of critical material at suppliers in alignment with internal
- Driving continuous improvement programs to establish predictable and reliable manufacturing capabilities at wafer manufacturing suppliers to ensure technical robustness of products in alignment with manager
- Ensuring that products, services & procedures are fit for purpose and meet both external & internal requirements and customer expectations
- Initiate and lead continuous improvement programs internally to robust quality system and supplier management system
Who we are looking for
- Technical degree (Bachelor, equivalent or higher) in physics, electrical engineering, material science or similar
- Experience in the semiconductor industry (better for ASIC technologies)
- Strong technical problem-solving skills
- Very good communication skills and good appearance in front of suppliers & customers (required: English, beneficial: Chinese)
- Excellent understanding of manufacturing procedures and processing
- High organizational skills
- Quality tool experience & know-how
- Able to travel (domestic & international)
- Beneficial: Automotive background (8D, FMEA, 5WHY, VDA6.3, IATF 16949, etc.)
- Beneficial: Experience in physical failure analysis, electron microscopy, process integration, foundry module or test of semiconductor devices
